Our history
Since 1961 we have lovingly cultivated the Syracusan ‘femminello’ lemon.
Syracuse, 1961. Natale Torneo founded these lemon groves: more than 50 hectares dedicated to the Syracusan ‘femminello’ variety, cultivated in open fields without fertilisers or chemical compounds.
Over time, the Torneo family has opted to innovate, to optimise the use of resources while maintaining the quality of the product.
Today, headed by grandchildren Giulia and Natale, the company holds organic certification for its products, subsequently also adhering to the GLOBAL GAP protocol, which guarantees safety and traceability for agricultural produce.
Our Syracusan femminello
We cultivate our Organic femminello in its homeland, south of Syracuse, where just a few kilometres from the sea, the mild and humid climate, the brackish air and the limestone soil combine to create the ideal conditions for its cultivation.
Respect for nature, respect for health
We respect our femminello and treasure her exceptional shelf life: rigorously organic cultivation makes our lemon healthy and safe for the consumer. Its traceability guarantees its quality and safety in all stages of the process.
